Room
Information
- Small,
carpeted bedroom about 11x12 feet with 9 foot ceiling that vaults
mildly to 10 feet in the center with a small bay window area
along short wall
- Speakers
about 75 inches apart from outer edge to outer edge and about
three-feet from front of speaker to rear wall. Speakers are
capable of wide and deep soundstage if given space to breath,
but are compromised by this current small room. Right channel
speaker is beside the bay window and thus has more space to
breath and throw a wider soundstage – yes, the bay window does
make a difference when listening to the relative throw of each
channel.
- Bookshelves
line the rear wall to help with breaking up rear wall reflections
- Opposite
wall has an L-shaped desk with my desktop computer system, i.e.
a rather intimate listening area with a very near-field seating
position
- Listening
seat is my full-sized office chair
- Overall
sound of the system is detailed and engaging, but not forward
and I can listen for very long sessions. Doesn't plumb the depths
of bass extension, but I don't feel cheated when playing back
some bombastic orchetral pieces.
